About the founder
Rhonda Renee Holmes is the founder and Executive Director of the RRHolmes Scholarship Organization for Caribbean Advancement (RRH SOCA). Inspired by her family’s immigrant journey from Barbados and her mother’s belief in the power of education, she created RRH SOCA to help students of Caribbean descent pursue higher education and build rewarding careers.
A graduate of Clark Atlanta University with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration (Finance), Rhonda built a successful 20-year career in finance across the public and government sectors. Alongside her finance career, she consistently championed diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives, eventually transitioning into this work full-time. She now serves as a senior leader of DEIB, leading strategies that create equitable opportunities and inclusive workplaces.
Her leadership extends beyond her professional roles. She served as Director of Career Network on the Board of Directors of the National Black MBA Association Atlanta Chapter, and she also sat on the Board of Passion for Life, Inc., a nonprofit organization, where she held the role of Board Chair.
She lives in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA, with her son, Jamie.
